Sure, it might be a ridiculously long walk, but it's definitely possible. I logged a ton of miles on my feet, and honestly, I really enjoyed it. It's such a contrast to where I live, where I feel hesitant to even walk to the store. It's just a residential area with dilapidated buildings and...well, you get the picture. Of course, it's ridiculous to compare New York to my hometown - it's apples and oranges. But New York is so civilized that nothing really stresses you out. And surprisingly, the city doesn't feel overwhelming, despite its size. The streets are so long, and there's always a wide swathe of sky overhead. Maybe that's why the skyscrapers, which are undeniably HUGE, don't feel oppressive or claustrophobic 🙈
